PROBLEM

Trayne, an early-stage AI-powered fitness startup, needed a way to clearly communicate its vision to potential users and investors. With limited brand assets, the challenge was to translate short clips and Figma designs into a compelling video narrative that showed both usability and value.

Trayne, an early-stage AI-powered fitness startup, needed a way to clearly communicate its vision to potential users and investors. With limited brand assets, the challenge was to translate short clips and Figma designs into a compelling video narrative that showed both usability and value.

PROCESS / SOLUTION

I produced a commercial-style video that combined Figma UI mockups with real-world fitness footage, illustrating how users would interact with Trayne. To keep the story cohesive, I integrated:

  • Figma UI design elements to visualize product use and adaptability

  • Brand identity development through logo, color, and typography effects

  • Narrative pacing that balanced demonstration with emotional connection

I collaborated directly with the founder, iterating on design elements, storyline, and visuals to ensure every piece aligned with the startup’s brand direction and long-term vision.

IMPACT

The final video served as Trayne’s primary demonstration piece, helping the startup pitch its concept with a clear mission and user experience example. It highlighted product use cases and gave potential users a feel for the app experience. Overall, building confidence in the startup’s professional image.

THE TAKEAWAY

Working with a startup taught me how to create clarity out of ambiguity. With limited assets and provided clips, I had to think across brand, product, and storytelling at once, ensuring every design decision tied back to the vision of the business. I learned the value of rapid iteration, cross-functional collaboration, and keeping the end-user perspective at the center. This project showed me how much I enjoy connecting product functionality, design systems, and narrative storytelling to build something that feels real and impactful.
